My Mother-in-law’s White Cookies

recipepggraphic_yellow My mother-in-law makes these cookies on special occasions. When she does make them, they disappear almost immediately. My boys alone probably gobble up a dozen by themselves! Needless to say, these cookies are a big hit with anyone who tries them.

White Cookies

Mix in a large bowl:
4-1/2 cups of flour 1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup margarine
Mix until large crumbs form.

In another bowl add:
1-3/4 cups of sugar
2 eggs
Beat for 3 minutes then add to the flour mixture.

In a small bowl add:
5 tablespoons milk
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons vanilla

Mix all ingredients together. Roll out the dough to 1/4 inch thick. Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes. Let cookies cool, frost with your favorite frosting then decorate! Delish!
