Mom’s Meatloaf

I finally got this recipe from my mother. My hubby and kids love it! That says a lot since my beloved wouldn’t touch meatloaf moms_meatloafbefore he reluctantly tried my mother’s recipe.

This recipe makes ONE meatloaf
1 lb. lean ground beef
1 egg
1 single serving applesauce snack cup
3/4 cup italian bread crumbs
1/4 cup milk
1/2 of a large onion
1 small can of sliced mushrooms
salt and pepper

Combine all ingredients together and form into an oval loaf. Bake at 350 degrees for half an hour.

Remove from oven and pour over the top:
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can mushroom gravy
1/4 cup water

Put meatloaf back into the oven and bake for an additional 1 hour.
