Grammie’s Corn Chowder

Corn Chowder

1 lb. smoked sausage cut into 1/2″ slices
3 cups cubed potatoes
1/2 onion diced
2 carrots chopped
1/4 cup bell pepper diced
1 bayleaf
1 can creamed corn
1 can mushroom soup
2 cups chicken broth
2 cups milk
1 teas. thyme

Combine all the ingredients together, except for the milk, into a large soup pot. Cook on low for 6 – 7 hours. Add in the milk the last 15 minutes of cooking. Top with a dollop of sour cream and enjoy!
