We did something of the sort recently. Turned an idea into action. The overall outcome turned out wonderful. The process we had to go through to get to wonderful, painful and tiring!

The SIMPLE Life just got a facelift!
Hello, I am back! Sheesh, I never thought I would be able to get back at this blogging thing again! What a year. I am sure we all can say that.
So here we are in 2017, or Twenty Seventeen, however you prefer to say it. I particularly don’t like to say twenty seventeen because it feels too futuristic to me. Like the Jetsons. Is that weird? Moving on. I decided that since it’s a new year, what a great time to give this blog a new look. I also thought it would really motivate me to jump back in the ring again and be consistent. I think it worked. I am ready to share with you all of the things that I have been doing these past however months that I have been away.
All of the family moments.
All of the recipes.
All of the wine.
All of the cleaning…just kidding!
I am going to designate Tuesday’s as a new blog post day. That means every Tuesday you will hear from me, so make sure you subscribe to my Vista so you can get an email. You won’t have an excuse to miss out on all of the profounding things I will be writing about! Ha!

I apologize for the lack of writing as of late.
Even though I have not written a blog for like 84 or 97 days, rest assured I have been compiling a file folder with lots of recipes, family events, and of course wines I have tried.
Once I get my life back on track again (aka, attending sporting events, chauffeuring to practices of said sporting events, working, planning art lessons, washing my hair, getting my yard ready for winter, conversing over a glass of wine with my hubby, and other to-do items) I’ll be back on a regular basis.
Our first attempt at blooming an onion turned out to be
un-photogenic but rather tasty!
This must be why so many kitchen gizmos and gadgets are invented on a daily basis. We learned that in order to make our onion show off a presentable “bloom” you need the “blooming onion, petal transforming, slicer dicer” kitchen gadget. Which as the above photo shows, we don’t have that gadget. Continue reading
