Ruby red in color and complex in flavor. Goes great with chocolate, shall I say more?
This Gamay varietal, from the Beaujolais region, expresses a palette of juicy red and black berries along with strawberry and current. Its complex aromatic notes consist of spice and peppery bursts in the glass. Juicy fruit and smooth tannins round out the taste providing a long, lingering finish. This varietal is light like a merlot but fruity/spicy like a syrah.
2014 Chateau de Jarnioux also goes exceptionally well with dark chocolate! I recommend this French wine paired with a brownie sundae! Yes!
Oh, and don’t forget to decant this bottle and let it sit for five minutes.
